Teaching & Support Staff
Hi, my name is Mrs Durose. My career at Forsbrook Primary School has now spanned over 20 years, this was not in Victorian times, contrary to what many children think! In fact I am now teaching the children, of children that I have taught in the past! Over the years I have enjoyed the wide range of opportunities that I have experienced in this school. Most memorably, achieving a National Teaching Award. This was an amazing experience, an honour and something I will always treasure.
I am the resident ‘green warrior’ as I have a passion for the environment and conservation. My role as ECO Co-ordinator enables me to share this passion with our children, thus providing the ECO warriors of the future. My ECO-Club are so efficient that they have even been known to plunge class teachers into darkness without warning- (must have a word with them about this!)
Children at Forsbrook know that I function much more successfully with a flask of tea or coffee at hand. Cake and biscuits are always an added bonus! The children also seem to just about appreciate my dry sense of humour. The staff, however are yet to master this skill!
Believe it or not,I do have a life out of school, where I enjoy the theatre (large glass of wine included), live music and travelling. More recently I have become a member of Blythe Bridge and District Rotary Club. Through this I am able to support the local community, as well as having an international perspective. Look out for me at Tesco at Christmas time, I’m the one dressed like an elf.
Over the years I have worked for four headteachers, met some wonderful, talented people, made great friends and even grabbed myself a husband on the journey. I look forward many more days of fun and laughter at this school.
