What is Forest Schools all about?
Forest schools is an inspirational process, that offers all learners regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands on learning experiences in a woodland or natural environment with trees. It is a long term process of regualer sessions to support the development of a relationship between the learner and the natural world.
Forest Schools aims to promote the holistic development of all those involved, fostering resilient, confident, independant and creative learners. It offers the learners the opportunity to take supported risks appropriate to the environment and to themselves.

We Made Wiki Ups!
During Forest Schools we learnt how to make a wiki up with Miss Ashley. We then turned our wiki ups into small shelters for the fairies that live in our school garden.
Today we pushed ourselves out of our comfort zone to climb trees with Miss Ashley and Mrs Riley. It was very tricky and challenging but we wanted to take this risk!
Making Mini Beasts
Early Years used natural materials and clay to create their very own mini beasts. It was great fun!
